Today we’re talking to the beautiful girl in our current collection of images - Safaa Alban Lloyd. This busy bee is a London-based Moroccan/British events manager for LICKALIX and studies Criminology & Psychology.
We wanted to find out what inspires her, and what’s her secret to juggling such a full lifestyle.
Could you tell us a little bit about yourself and what inspires you?
I grew up moving back and forth from Morocco to the UK so got to experience two very different cultures. I spent much of my teenage years at the beach hanging out or surfing.
I spent my last two years of school in London then left when I was 18 to New Zealand. I lived in a few places in between, taught business and financial English in Prague for a while and also got to live in Barcelona (one of my favourite cities) and New York.
I moved back to London about a year and a half ago and have since then been working full-time for a healthy, handmade, vegan ice lolly company as an event manager. I also study Criminology and Psychology part-time online through the Open University which has been amazing because it gives me the flexibility to move around and work as much as I like!
I love drawing and painting and pretty much any water sport (pretty much anything that requires me being in the ocean!) and that probably ties into what inspires me as well as nothing really inspires me as much as travelling does.
What are the other things you are passionate about?
My family is very important to me and I’m very lucky to get to live close to most of them, I also love my work and my studies. I’m very fortunate to have a lot of great things and people in my life. Perhaps passionate is not the right word but these are the things that give me the most joy.
What is your favourite piece in the Story 81 collection and why?
My favourite piece from the Story 81 collection is the Pia bucket bag because it’s super stylish and cool but also can alternate into more of a casual and comfy look.
