For co-founders Joti and Banasa, their individual experiences tackling plastic waste and its impact on the earth inspired them to start the business together. When they first met in 2018, they immediately hit it off and within months had decided that they would launch a natural beauty brand together, setting themselves the challenge of launching a 100% plastic-free product.  From there, Ksoni was born.

516 Polish (Five Sixteen)

Founded in July 2019 by Wunmi Ladele, 516 Polish is the UK's first indie nail polish brand championing "swatch diversity". This means actively creating inspiration and more visual representation for people with deeper skin tones through inclusive swatch imagery. The brand has coined the term/hashtag #swatchdiversity to provide more representation for people with darker skin and always swatches their products on multiple skin tones - diversity is front and centre here.
